It's been a long and sometimes difficult year, so in the interest of collecting knowledge for posterity, the following are lessons I'll be taking with me into 2008.
- Sometimes if you wait long enough the right job comes along, but you can't sit and wait for it.
- Facebook is way cooler than MySpace.
- No matter how blasé you are about matters of life and death, when the grim reaper strikes in your family it really hurts.
- No matter how wide your stance is, never tap on the shoes of the guy in the next stall.
- It's generally better to go to a doctor than just wait for something to get better.
- Just because it's a lesbian wedding, don't count on it being non-traditional.
- You can never have too many friends, but you can occasionally have too many to keep up with.
- It won't go away if you keep scratching at it.
- It's ok to admit you liked Titanic.
- Just because you have a good concept for a blog, don't count on people being active participants.
